Georgina Stone
Georgina Stone is a London-based painter who graduated from The University of Brighton with a BA in Fine Art Painting in 2018 and is currently studying at the Royal College of Art.
Stone’s ideas primarily emerge from the tactile, visceral and psychological experience of painting. She uses a plethora of mediums and tools to explore the endless possibilities of colour, mark-making and texture. Stone believes a painting has its own life force that guides its execution through physical performance. She approaches the painting from several perspectives of the space such as the ceiling, wall and floor and uses the stretcher as a device. It is a continuous back-and-forth struggle between painter and painting.
