Hampus Wernemyr
Wernemyr paintings introduce surreal characters and objects that capture the feeling of waking up to the echoes of a dream, a magical realm that spits you back into the world. Hampus portrays figures, often blurry, with a wide range of emotions, leaving the viewer unsure of what they are looking at: sadness appears alongside happiness, a pair of lips frowning and smiling at the same time in what looks like an ephemeral and balancing act.
