This work is part of a series that explores memory, intimacy and embodied cognition, inviting the viewer to contemplate the intricate nature of human experience and the interconnectedness of the self. Domestic environments, depicted with bold and gestural oil pastel marks, are interwoven with blocks of colour and texture of varying transparencies, echoing the fragmented and disordered nature of memories. The figure, painted in exaggerated poses and expressions, captures the physical and emotional sensations of vulnerability, pain, and elation, highlighting the interplay between the mind and body.
