Larissa De Jesús Negrón is a multidisciplinary artist based in Queens, New York for the last 5 years. Larissa is primarily focused on the interpretation of nostalgia through the narrative of isolation in the confines of interior spaces. She yearns for introspection, self-evaluation and amelioration through her intimate, often otherworldly indoor/outdoor mirages. The topic of introspection through spirituality and self-criticism inside of the home has been a recurring theme in Larissa’s work since 2017.

Today she invites the viewer to get lost in reflection and existentialism through her richly textured, stylistically varied, at times disorienting spaces and portraits. For Larissa, the topic of the home has now, after 5 years, evolved into the topic of nostalgia due to the simple fact that “home” is where your loved ones are, where your culture is and where your most cherished or dreaded memories will always be.
