Artists Olivia Sterling and Charlie Billingham discuss their respective practices. They trace histories of cartoons, caricatures, and illustrations which have informed their work, particularly looking at the depiction of the human body within these traditions, and the use of physical comedy, satire, and the grotesque to counter established and hierarchical notions of taste and social nicety. The talk was held online and moderated by the CCA’s curator, Natasha Hoare.
