Hugo Harris

Overview
Hugo Harris’ practice involves a continual exploration into the ways of depicting the weight of the human body. Particularly how the subtle alterations of poses can manipulate and displace parts of our muscle and flesh. Focusing in on parts of the body that display this pressure or movement of mass has resulted in a series of fragmented figures. In turn, this has led to a fascination with classical fragments and sculptures, particularly how they are now displayed to us in a museum/gallery setting.
