Sara Knowland

Overview
Sara Knowland makes figurative, semi-expressive paintings which draw on a range of references - from the medieval witch hunts through body horror in cinema - to charged moments in art history. A process of collaging from a pool of researched visuals and interests equips the artist to work with imagery of the sort which connects to them personally as much as with the politics of our lived milieu.
