The landscape presents an opportunity to evaluate an individual's current psychological state, with each viewer interpreting it uniquely despite the image remaining constant. This interpretation is influenced by various factors, such as beliefs, traumas, fears, and desires, which have shaped the receiver's brain through life events. The landscape offers a brief escape and a chance to feel alone, enabling one to recalibrate and analyse their current perception of the landscape. Disturbances while observing the landscape often signify an imbalance within the viewer, which they must overcome to return to the simplicity and beauty of the landscape. Holding onto too many things can often greatly influence this imbalance. To truly appreciate the landscape, one must be alone, free from negative emotions such as jealousy, hate, and envy, which act as distractions from life's true calling.

Joseph Mobolaji Aina was struggling with these emotions while creating the piece but tried to find serenity by looking through the gaps in the trees. Through the trees, they could glimpse into the future, where everything seemed slightly less painful. However, the pain did not dissipate because the challenges became easier; it simply required a change in perspective. By making enough of these changes, one could eventually find a place of peace, free from distractions and noise.
