First up, it’s over to Guts Gallery, who are showing Lydia Pettit and Olivia Sterling’s joint show “Bitches In Heat” until the 13th of October. “Bitches In Heat” is diverse when it comes to what areas of the female existence it tackles, but it’s unified by just how abrasive the skewering is. The Guts Gallery write-up of the hyped exhibition calls it “untamed exploration of desire on the margins”, and that takes the form of everything from portraits of women complete with talons and frothing mouths to retro renditions of the ladies room at a cocktail bar.
