Born in Sweden, Julia de Ruvo is an artist living and working in Stockholm.
After graduating from the Konstskolan Art School, Ruvo focused her illustrative eye onto life drawing and portraiture, expanding into a heavily self-taught practice of painting and drawing. Inspired primarily by people - passers-by, strangers and interactions with her lover - the ‘everyday’ finds its way into Ruvo’s storytelling images with a humorous sophistication.
