The shared idea that permeates through all the work is the idea of home. One's journey of finding the definition and sense of home; finding ways to come to peace with it which often entails the sense of loneliness, loss and solitary during the process of it.

Paintings portray the idea more directly with the images that carry the visual element of 'home' and 'solitary' by depicting singular subjects in an elusive way; be it an island (Bass rock), a house and a figure on a boat.
