'Exactly where you need to be 'is an inquiry into interdependence and the making of an ecosystem via a subversion of patriarchal tropes. The scene deliberately incorporates a theatrical quality and is staged in a liminal space that lies somewhere between wild and domestic. The work is also a study of the various awkward ways in which bodies can interact. Multiple participants play different roles in what is imagined as a theatrical performance of togetherness. The groupings of figures also celebrate intergenerational relationships between women, where the male gaze is cast aside, and protective rituals are explored through the movements of the body.
